The real story here isn’t that Jourdan is off Snafu, it’s all the Tweeting that happened immediately after, mostly concerning an email that McGoo sent Jourdan concerning why he wasn’t willing to bump him up to the pro team. The email was pretty fair and well thought out but it got posted online and a bunch of people freaked out. The most important thing that people constantly miss when discussing who should be pro and who shouldn’t be, is that your skill level is mostly irrelevant. The extent to which you promote the brands you’re associated with is what counts. You can make fun of McGoo all you want (he still likes me after all the stuff I’ve said about him, go ahead, it’s fine) but most aspiring pro riders could learn a lot from that email.
